Style = Attitude 1

Good Morning friends!

I hope your week is going smoothly. I know you have all heard the saying, “when you feel your worst, look your best”. Well I am definitely channeling that phrase in this post. For the last week or so, I have been feeling horribly. I have had a sore throat, congestion, and a stiff neck. I haven’t been in the best mood, haven’t been working out or eating well. But today, I said it’s time to snap out of it. The best way to feel better is to put on clothes that make you feel nice in bright colors. Have you ever met someone with a bad attitude in neon green? I don’t think so. Because bright colors = bright mood.

I truly believe that what you wear is a reflection of who you are and how you feel. That is why I make it a habit or goal to be presentable whenever I leave the house. Don’t get me wrong! You may catch me dropping off the kids in sweats and a t-shirt but I will attempt to be somewhat coordinated. Here are some other ways I make myself feel better, when I am not in the best mood:

  1. Watch a funny movie: Any form of laughter automatically helps me to forget about my woes.
  2. Clean / Organize: Initially this wouldn’t be my favorite thing to do. But being in an organized, clutter-free space always makes me feel better.
  3. Writing a gratitude list: It is so easy to feel poorly when you are not thinking of the things you are grateful for. Once I think of all the positive things happening for me, the bad doesn’t seem so bad.
  4. Go for a jog: This is another task that is hard to get up to do but the after effects are worth it. After I work out, I always feel free of worry and problems.

What do you do to get yourself out of a funk?
